Ex-Darksiders Devs Form New Studio, Revive Battle Chasers Franchise

It was a sad day when Vigil co-founders Joe Madureira and Ryan Stefanelli had to close their doors and leave the fan favorite Darksiders franchise behind when THQ went out of busiess for good. As the dust was settling, famed comic book artist Joe Mad helped Marvel launch their new Inhumans series and plotted on a comeback to video games. News soon broke that Joe and Ryan had started a new company from the ashes of Vigil and this new company was Airship Syndicate. With a new company it was only right that Airship brought back one of Joe Mad’s original creations into the spotlight. Battle Chasers was created by Joe Madureira in 1998 and produced 9 issues. The series follows five main characters, Gully, Red Monika, the swordsman Garrison, wizard Knolan and war golem Calibretto, as they do battle against four of the most dangerous villains in the land.

Even though Airship Syndicate is not ready to talk about the game just yet but they say it will have the same RPG/adventure feel as the Darksiders series but mechanically it will be different. The game will also get a comic series to accompany it. Battle Chasers the game will land on both PC and console but we are far from a release date. Stay tuned for more Battle Chasers news!
